Stick to wellness resolutions with a hike in Carolina Beach State Park. Learn about the diverse ecosystem of the park on a ranger-led guided hike, which are offered each Saturday at 10 a.m. Enjoy live music and island flavors at SeaWitch Café & Tiki Bar, who’s bringing back their outdoor concert series beginning Jan. 28. Lean into our colorful island life with a self-guided mural tour or go green March 11 during the annual St. Patrick’s Lo Tike 5k and 10k!

Infuse your Carolina Beach itinerary with a splash of new in 2023! More mural masterpieces are on the way with Carolina Beach Mural Project debuting two new murals plus an interactive aerial experience in 2023. Raise a glass at The Vault Coffee & Pour House. Housed in a former bank, this locally owned spot with a drive-thru serves over-the-top coffee creations, beer, including 16 rotating local craft brews on tap, and wine. Carolina Beach State Park is making Venus Flytraps more accessible with a new bog garden, expected to open early 2023, that will allow visitors to learn about and see the carnivorous plant without venturing onto trails. |
Stay active in Carolina Beach with ample outdoor activities. Take a jog or leisurely stroll around Carolina Beach Lake Park, located just two blocks from the ocean. Rent a bike from local outfitters to explore the scenic Island Greenway on two wheels. Or, skate the ramps and bowls at Mike Chappell Park. Get competitive with a game of disc golf at the PDGA-certified Trinity Disc Golf Course, and then enjoy a locally brewed pint at Good Hops Brewing. Look toward spring water adventures and book a spring surf camp with Tony Silvagni Surf School. Camps begin March 14 and provide 10 hours of professional surf instruction. |
