There is much to look forward to with new places and things to do when you are ready to travel safely to our destination. Find traveling exhibitions, new permanent art pieces, an eco-friendly waterfront park & amphitheater, new water tours and more coming in 2021. Relax outdoors with a specialty craft brew in the new Hi-Wire Brewing beer gardens. If you have plans to be in town, attend Port City Taste—Wilmington’s Restaurant Week, Jan. 25 through Feb. 7—for a celebration of the best specials and prix-fixe menus offering both dine-in and to-go options. Discover the new Otters on the Edge habitat at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, where a fur family of four Asian small-clawed otters can be viewed in their freshwater conservatory. Vacation rentals and waterfront lodging will be in high demand this year making now the best time to plan for spring and summer travel.
